Jeff Buckley’s Grace

What has been the best gig you've been to?
I really enjoyed Bon Iver’s concert here in Singapore at The Star a couple of years ago.
Of all the venues you’ve played, which is your favourite?
I’ll always have a soft spot for The Esplanade, we played two shows at the Theatre Studio for the closing of the Mosaic Festival. That was kind of the tipping point before I started doing larger festivals and bigger stages.

Jordan Rakei’s Origin
What new music are you listening to?
Jordan Rakei, Tyler The Creator, The Japanese House, Daniel Caesar, Yuna
Yeo - The Comments
I worked with Yeo on my latest record and am honoured to call him a friend. He’s such a genius producer and songwriter. We have a couple of collabs in the works, stay tuned...
Sampha - Reverse Faults
Absolutely love Sampha. Soulful and well-produced but not too over the top. Process is one of my favourite albums in the last decade.
Frank Ocean - Self-Control
Hard to deny that Frank is the GOAT. Hope he releases new music soon.
Kllo - Downfall
One of my favourite acts from Melbourne and are headed for world domination...the combination of Chloe’s vocals and Simon’s production is just sublime. Simon also produced the last 4 tracks of my new record, he’s the best.
Charlie Lim - Least of You
This is the one that Simon produced! He says it sounds as if you’re driving in the middle of the night, being really emo, but you’re in a smart car.
Jordan Rakei - Say Something
Have a lot of respect for this guy, prolific output and he’s getting more and more fearless but also more efficient in his delivery. Really soulful and versatile.
Emily King - Teach You
One of my favourite singer-songwriters of all time. This is off her new record Scenery, but her earlier EPs are fantastic as well.
Steve Mcqueens - Sun
Favourite band from SG. You’ll need to check them out live if you get the chance!
James Blake - I’ll Come Too
I always imagined his new album as some sort of modern musical - it’s him at his most earnest, and I love the sentimentality.
Anderson .Paak - Come Home (ft. André 3000)
Ventura is such an underrated record...fantastic performance, songwriting and production. This one was a nice opener for the album and André really came through with the verse.
BUOY - Clouds & Rain
One of my favourite electronic artists from Australia, co-produced by Jack Grace who’s another fantastic artist.
Charlie Lim - Unconditional
Here’s another track off my latest record. Hope you enjoyed this playlist...thanks for listening!
